- Remember a company called Commodore? It was destroyed from top down by

- How ever we may feel about Bill Gates, we have to admit that he knows
- what he's doing. If Escom had someone at the top that understands the
- computer market like Bill Gates, the Amiga would finally carve out a huge
- share of the market. So far, I haven't seen anyone at the top of Escom
- that shows that kind of understanding of the computer market or else they
- would have rallied all the Amiga developers and users together.

- : Changing the topic a bit, here: It is not really the hardware we should
- : be concerned with. It is the SOFTWARE. Everyone knows you can port the
- : OS to PPC or INtel or whatever. The big question is how is AT going to
- : lure in software developers. There is only one left in the U.S. (Softwood)
- : and a handfull in Europe. Of course, the software players EVERYWHERE are
- : dying off, thanks to the Billy Facist Gates.

- Marketing the Amiga OS for various hardware platforms is definitly the
- way to go. That's what many of us have been saying for awhile. I think
- that much of the problem is that Escom thinks in terms of selling computer
- hardware. They should be thinking in terms of selling an idea. Selling
- hardware is ok but with the current glut of computer hardware on the
- market, it will be difficult to wedge the Amiga into the world's computer
- market.
